It was unused take of village Jhitiki under Bisora GP. On demand of the Villagers the renovation work was taken up. The process of renovation has excavated silt 2379 number of mandays were generated by giving job opportunity to the job seekers of the village. Now water may retain throughout the year for use by villagers and cattle. The amount of Rs. 298875 /- has been spent towards renovation work. Irrigation facility can also be provided to about 10 acres of cultivated land in the monsoon season. View Details

FARM POND OF NAKULA NAYAK
Earlier, Sri Nakula Nayak, a poor farmer from village Ragadipada of Sasan GP uder Bhapur Block, was a constant looser in farming activities as he could not saved his crop field from the disastrous effects of draught years after year. At last he ventured to apply for a Farm pond under MGNREGS in the last financial year. His application was approved with a sanctioned amount of Rs 50,000.00 vide Financial approval No- 227/2010 dated 16.02.2010 by the collector - cum - DPC, Nayagarh District.
After, the completion of the work, the belligerent Nayak ,encouraged by the developments, laboured hard in his field and the waters of the newely excavated farm pond appeared to be the blessings of the God and his cropfields turned to be a hen laying golden eggs. In the last season, Sri Nayak, has earned an amont not less than Rs 50,000.00 by selling green vegetables in the nearby markets. Now a days, his fields has worn a wonderful green dress completely made up of well grown Brinjal , tomato, watermelon and Chilly plants. Sri Nakula Nayak of Village Ragadipada is now treated as an ideal for other farmers of that area thanks to MGNREGS.

Const of Road with CD from Hariposhi UP school to Dhating Sahi
This road has been taken out of MGNREGA fund of 2010-11 relating to Dhanurjaypur GP of Jhumpura Block at an estimated cost of Rs. 10,00,000/-(Rupees Ten Lacs)only against which the cumulative expenditure as of date being RS 8,19,629/- (Material Component Rs. 4,02,289/- and labour Component Rs. 4,17,340/-). As per the demand of the registered job seekers the work was taken up observing all paraphernalias as per MGNREGA Guideline ultimately generating 4406mandays. The population of this village and the adjacent areas have got the benefit of this road. View Details

As beneficiary is a marginal farmer he is solely depending upon on the agriculture .The land owned by him has no irrigation facilities for which he is unable to produce more crops from the land and earn his livelihood as a laborer. Check Dam at Dianmunda Nala, Tanwat G.P., Nuapada block
On demand of the villagers the construction of Check Dam at Dianmunda Nala has taken up. After construction of this Check Dam the rain water flowing through this Nala will be checked. The water would be used for irrigation purpose. 594 mandays have been generated by giving job opportunity to the job seekers of the village. This was takenup during the financial year 2011-12. This project fulfilled the long demand of the people for a Check Dam in the village. The labourers has been paid their wages through their Bank and Post Office Account. 21 no\'s of E-MR used in the project. 17 male and 10 female labour was involved in the construction work. 16 no\'s of job cards are used in the project. PUBLIC HEARING
The Block Level Public Hearing of Phulbani Block was held on 30.11.2011 at 11:00 am at Biju Kalyan Mandap, Phulbani. The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of PA, ITDA, Phulbani. Amongst others were NGO Member, Social ACtivist, VLL, PRI Members, Sarpanches, EOs, GRSs, GSs, the village people. At the outset Sri Ramesh Chandra Sai, OAS (I) SB, explained in details about MGNREGA. He interacted with the people and discussed elaborately the dos and donts of MGNREGS. Then the Action Taken REport was read ou by APO, Phulbani. Then the grievances raised in the Social Audit meeting held in the month of Oct\'11 was also declared. Chairman Sri Sai instructed the JE/ VLWs to resolve the issues within 7 days. BDO-cum-PO, the Secretary of the Committee Sri P. K. Khilar, threw light on the benefits of the MGNREGA and said the the scheme is a peoples approach and empahsised on peoples partcipation, consulattaion and consent, empowerment, transaprency and accountability etc. The vote-of-thanks was proposed by ABDO, Phulbani. Avenue Plantation from Sheragada to Manikapur road(10km) for the year 2011-12
Out of the self of projects under MGNREGA 2011-12 under programme of drought proofing.Single Row Avenue Plantation as Sheragadato Manikapur road has been under taken with an estimated cost of Rs2.25 lakh per kilometer.
Protecting environmental parameters such as balancing oxygen, global warming and to keep transmission of water cycle which leads raining.
Besides reduce soil erosion, shadowe to the passengers and providing beautification of the road which places the vital role of the scheme.
The first year plantation has been taken up with 100% survival and it looks very decent

Block Level Public Hearing
As per date & time scheduled Block level public hearing started at 10.30 AM on 25th Nov 2011 in the premises of Block HQ .ADM, Nayagarh was the Chairperson of the Public hearing . 352 nos of public gathered at the block premises & an IEC campaigning was made to aware the public about the MGNREGS scheme .The muster rolls of some of the projects was read by JEs/GPTAs & found correct .Block development Officer addressed the public about the progress of this block in MGNREGS. Benefit to the Beneficiary ....
The natural resources always meant for the sustainable of environment. The society has been directly benefited from natural resources. Without natural resources the human being canít survive in the society. Some people have resources, but they have no way to proper management. Mr. Gamha Guiya is living at Thuntipani village Badhatnabeda GP of Kusumi Block, Mayurbhanj District. He has kept land, but donít have any way to benefit from that resource. That family is very poor he has no capital for investment for his sustaining livelihood. Day to day his family expenditure increased and he were facing difficulties for maintaining his family. He was finding the way of solution.
